The Parade down Richfield’s Main Street will begin at 9:30 am on Saturday, July 4th. For their safety, please keep your children behind the painted white line. Parade permits could be revoked if children cannot be kept safe behind the white line.

Parade Float Rules
Line-up starts by or before 8:00 a.m. The application deadline is July 2 at 5:00 p.m.
1. Float Judging will begin @ 8:30 a.m. “Parade-Ready” float must be ready for presentation to the judges. First place takes home our traveling trophy and $300. Second place receives $150. Third place receives $100
2. No one may get on or off the float once it has started down the parade route.
3. No dangling legs over the edge of the float.
4. No candy or other items can be thrown from the float or vehicle during the parade. Walkers may hand out these items if desired.
5. All floats must be of the “pull-behind” type on a trailer.
6. There must be a responsible adult present if any children are riding or walking with the float.
7. No smoking or alcoholic beverages on any parade entry at any time before or during the parade. Safety first!
8. The pulling vehicle must travel slowly enough to avoid stalling. Absolutely no “burn-outs.” Hot rods burning rubber will be asked to leave immediately
9. No fire or flame-producing devices are allowed on floats.
10. Animals in the parade must stay in the route. (between the yellow lines)
11. If you are entering an animal in the parade, bring your “pooper-scooper.” This will enable you to move up in the parade order.

Chairs can be set out AFTER 6:00 PM the night before the parade to reserve your seating. Please be respectful of those around you.
Registration closes at 5:00 PM on July 2nd. Parade “line up” instructions will be sent out on July 3rd to your registration email.
